Former Blizzard Producer Talks About Assassin's Creed: Shadow Altering History: Insulting the Entire Nation
Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed: Shadow" has been criticized for doctoring history, and the producer has criticized "crazy"
Renowned "Diablo 2" producer Grummz recently took to Twitter to severely criticize Ubisoft's game "Assassin's Creed: Shadow", accusing it of seriously tampering with history.
Mr. Grummz said what had happened in the game was "horrific" and that the real history had been altered and rewritten to fit the video game's story. He pointed out that Ubisoft claimed to have the support of "experts" who later proved to be false.
Grummz argues that this is not a question of the characters in the game, but of "the insanity of DEI" (diversity, equity and inclusion), pointing out that Ubisoft has doctored history to support a false narrative and insulted the country in the process.
Grummz stressed that in the game world, the line between fiction and reality is often blurred. Assassin's Creed: Shadow attempts to combine fiction with history, but ignores the serious issues involved behind it.
Since the release of "Assassin's Creed: Shadow", controversy and criticism about the black protagonist have never stopped. But obviously, Ubisoft will not step back and will not make changes.
Grummz's criticism sparked widespread discussion among gamers, with some agreeing that Ubisoft's historical tampering was disrespectful and offensive. Others argued that adding diversity to the game was necessary and did not compromise the bottom line of historical authenticity.
